SINBRAN Technology

Applications

Dust Collection on Laser and Plasma Cutting Machines:

VARIO T series and L-CUT series

As an OEM supplier of dust collectors for laser and plasma cutting machines, KELLER is experienced in handling pollutants that are created during thermal processing. Filtration units are individually customized for every application, taking into consideration flow rates, pressure differentials and materials to be cut.

All units feature SINBRAN® membrane filtration technology to guarantee extremely high separation efficiency, separating sub-micron particles at constantly low differential pressure and high air flow.

As a standard in Laser and Plasma applications, Keller uses an integrated spark preseparator to prevent fire in the filter unit which can be caused by glowing particles being sucked into the filter.

Summary:

  • High filtration efficiency utilizing SINBRAN® membrane filtration
  • Application customized air flow
  • Integrated spark preseparator
  • Long filter life cycle - up to 2-3 years
  • Constant air flow over the filter life cycle
  • Compact design
  • Automatic filter cleaning during operation
  • Low noise emissions due to integrated silencer
  • For in-depth information regarding the above applications, see our brochures L-CUT, VARIO, SINBRAN

Laser cutting of organic components:

KELLER Dosing System

During thermal cutting of organic components dusts and fumes are emitted which are extremely hazardous to health. Separation of these pollutants is very expensive because conventional filter technology cannot be used.

Keller developed an innovative low cost, highly efficient system to separate aerosols and gaseous carbon hydrides at a reasonable price. The core of the system is SINBRAN® filter elements, which are precoated with a layer of an inert filter aid material. Pollutants are absorbed in this layer and dedusted periodically. The separated dust is collected in a dustbin and recycled until saturation with organic components. At the same time, fresh filter aid material is added to the system.

According to various field experiences this system is able to separate most of the emitted carbon hydrides so that it can be operated as a stand-alone unit. Air flow remains constant during the entire operation of the filter without clogging of the filter elements.

Summary:

  • Filter system: combination of SINBRAN® and container dosing
  • Operation mode: adjustable up to 24/7
  • High separation efficiency: clean gas dust concentration: < 0.1 mg/m³
  • Concentration of carbon hydrides: 60 mg/m³
  • Constant air flow during the entire life cycle of the filters
  • Low investment costs
  • Low operating and maintenance costs
