Extraction of Metal Oxides - Protecting Personnel
Smelting processes release metal oxides and other oxygen-based compounds from both aggregates and refining agents. When molten aluminum is cleaned, casting fumes are generated. Similarly, introducing gray cast alloy into ductile cast iron produces magnesium oxides, which result in dense smoke.
Capturing, extracting, and separating these emissions is essential for safe and compliant operation.
Dust Extraction with Flexible Air Flow
Dust collectors from the VARIO, PT-Filter, and Jet-Set series are ideal for capturing very fine particulate matter. Thanks to their modular design, these systems offer flexibility in adapting to specific airflow requirements - including high-volume airflows when needed.
During smelting, airflow demands can fluctuate depending on the stage of the process. The extraction system can be adjusted accordingly, helping to reduce energy consumption.
In addition, fire protection measures must be integrated into the process exhaust air system to ensure safety during smelting operations.
