Clean Air When Processing Aluminum, Zinc or Magnesium
In series production of thin-walled non-ferrous metal components, molten metal is injected into a metallic mold at high speed and pressure. To ensure easy part release and maintain surface quality, molds are sprayed with a release agent and lubricated at key points. The heat generated during casting causes these agents to evaporate or burn, producing smoke and fumes that rise with thermal air currents.
Capturing, extracting, and separating these emissions is essential. The required extraction airflow depends on the machine’s size and design - whether it’s a cold chamber or hot chamber system.
Extraction Solutions for Exhaust Air and Recirculating Air Operation
The eLine electrostatic aerosol separator is ideal for applications where purified air is returned to the workplace. It effectively removes adhesive aerosols from process exhaust, making clean air recirculation possible.
For processes using water-soluble spray agents and lubricants, the ENA coolant mist separator provides reliable air cleaning performance.
Both systems feature integrated rinsing units and a modular design, allowing flexible integration into either centralized or decentralized extraction setups.
